Web Copywriting:
Financial Services Firm

I worked through a headhunter to work with this global company. The initial assignment requested an editor-writer-project manager for three months to fill in for an employee on maternity leave. Most of the writing I did was for print, but a portion was for the company's website. I'm including it here because it ended up being such a long engagement!

Though the position fell under the auspices of the creative services department, it had the feel of an internal communications department. I worked on over 50 projects at any given time from the initial intake all the way through to fulfillment (i.e., printing and delivery).

Considerations included the firm's imminent global rebranding, scheduling to meet deadlines based on stated budget and resources required, and the stated specifications of the request. The departmental leadership, often involved in strategy meetings, required me to find innovative, independent ways to handle issues that arose.

Requests inclulded everything from event invitations and speaker bios to product launch materials (e.g., posters, sell sheets, and leave-behinds). I worked with the marketing department, product managers, graphic designers, the printing department, and a variety of vendors. In this regard, it was a true team-oriented project.

During 11 months, the client renewed my contract a few times, and it was an exciting run.
